    4 miles

Interesting run tonight. It was in the high 80’s and I am in the middle of some wicked heat training.  I should be feeling bad with the “Keto Flu” but I’m actually feeling pretty good.  My energy level is up, nothing hurts, and my stomach seems to have evened out.  The 1st mile of this run sucks, as it always does but after that everything seems pretty even.

I have a 50 mile race  in a little over 4 weeks so hopefully I will be completely fat adapted by then and we will really see what this whole LCHF thing is all about.

  • YAY!  Back on the run.  After 2 weeks of absolutely no running it was nice getting back to it.  Nice easy 30 min on the treadmill.  Now stretch and Ice.

Note: I have been diligently in the gym strength training.  We have added in a leg day which last week worried me a little bit.  On the 3rd set of leg press my legs started cramping really bad so I immediately stopped.  After sleeping that night I was just sore but no pulls or anything.  At this point in the game I think it is going to be all about listening to the body and stopping BEFORE the body make me.

Monday: Chest – Flat, Incline dumbbell, dumbbell fly

Tuesday: Legs – Extensions, hamstring curls, leg presses, calf raises (Reg, outer, inner)

    Wednesday: Bi / Tri

    Thursday: Back (pull-ups 7’s descending to 1)

    Friday: Nothing

  • Well I’m still resting, sort of, but had a nice run today.  Did the same route as yesterday but alone.  Pace is getting back to normal as I ran a 7:30 avg today.  Still have some medial pain in the right knee but is getting much better AND since I have been off the NSAIDs my stomach is feeling a lot better.

Race in FL next week, still not quite sure if I am going to do it or not.

OH, today is the 19th Annual  Hard Rock 100.  If you get a chance check out iRunFar on Twitter as they are providing awesome coverage of the event!
