Out for a quick run today & got caught in a summer storm!  Wow, that thing rolled up on me so quick there was nothing I could do but try and get out.  I had just reached the summit of “Mnt Doom” & it let loose.  Lightning & high winds, for a second I thought I might be in the perimeter of a tornado … thank goodness I wasn’t.  Since I was on my 3rd loop I decided to try and find a shortcut back to the start.  So when the 1st trail heading back towards the start came up I took it.  Not sure if it was any shorter but I felt better about it. :-).
